Reminds me of years back when Jim Powers showed me his bent jig hook down at Pips.

There are some big fish in that ditch.

Joe,

My jig happened during the same fall.

You thinking what I'm thinking?

Could it have been the same fish?

Nope. Just a lobster trap.

No, it was a pod of huge fish that dropped into the canal that fall and hung around about a week.   A couple days after I bent that hook, a guy walked by me dragging a fish that had to be 60lbs.  Biggest I ever saw from the canal.

I remember it. That was either a 7/0 or 8/0 forged Mustad jig hook. That fish took you about 100 yards down the Canal before it trashed that hook.

Not really, that's a standard Sluggo, right out of the package. .  My "secret colors" are the ones I pour myself.

Correct Joe.   These colors are proprietary.   Mixing color dyes to achieve the proper shade,  adding glitters, and keeping it away from prying eyes. :squid:
