· #166 Posted May 22 · Report post On the ship. Had the muster drill. Met our Butler. Unpacking and getting ready for dinner in a bit. Had a Hendricks and tonic during the check in process. Life is good. 12 Go to top

This particular plate which is obviously much larger than what is seen here moves about 30 centimeters a year. Most interesting thing I have seen this past three days. Pretty cool but more interesting than the Dick museum surely you jest 0 Go to top

· #169 Posted May 23 (edited) · Report post A little commentary: It’s about 6:15 Monday morning. Today we dock in Oslo Norway around noon. First night went well. Definitely a whole different vibe than the river cruises I have been on. There are four different bar/lounge areas on the ship. We went to two of them last night. One is your traditional bar setting. This is the one that had the piano and guitar players. The other one called the panoramic lounge at the top of the ship is a much larger show like bar. Last night was disco night lol. With the lights, DJ and all that. Interesting. Everything is super upscale here (pretentious comment number one for today). Wine, beer, hard stuff, liquors, are all available. Premium stuff no house brands. You want a particular wine they get to for you. If not currently on the ship they will get it at the next port. No extra cost. My wife requested certain wines, and foods for snacking and our butler will stock our mini-fridge this morning. First formal night is tonight. Should be interesting. Starting at six pm. Tuxedos or dark (black) suit and tie for men, gowns or super fancy dresses for the ladies. No pantsuits for the ladies for example. Room service is 24/7 for everything. Drinks food whatever. Again any cocktail, wine, beer all available. The food is not your typical room service food. Same quality as if seated in a restaurant. There is quite an extensive room serviced menu. Well it’s off to breakfast soon. This more I’ll opt for the breakfast buffet. They also offer a sit down breakfast in one of the restaurants and another sit down one in the Panorama lounge. · #173 Posted May 23 · Report post Monday 5/23 breakfast Was a buffet but the staff served you. A staff person also carried your plate to the table. I could get used to this. (Pretentious statement) 3 Go to top

Cool trip, awesome pics, happy for him, just not my style. Being waited on at that level makes me uncomfortable. I'm weird on stuff like that. I know that about myself. You might even call me pretentious. Edited May 23 by JaseB 1 Go to top
