FYI: Spool Hands can take tippet spools, better than rubber bands

Not all tippet and leader spools come with a flat elastic band with a feed hole. Especially so the Maxima spools as shown below. All sorts of solutions out there but these are $6 for 4 and work perfectly. I ordered two packets off of Amazon, but they shipped from Dette Flies up in Livingston Manor which I thought was noteworthy.

There are two sizes and these are the larger ones, fitting these spools perfectly.

I personally like the Maxima SharkTooth. I use them on my small leader spools that I take on the beach with me.

Interesting concept

Anyone know where to get used (empty) Maxima sized spools?

Only one manufacturer I know of (non fly fishing tippet specific) that uses bands on their fluorocarbon spool and that's Daiwa and that's why it's all I buy these days.  That and the price is fair.

I love both of these options though, especially because Maxima will always have a place in my kit.
