Unlikely. the WWTP for Mass Maritime removes 98% of suspended solids in the treatment process. Coupled with the fact that their discharge rate, even when in session, is tiny compared to the amount of moving water in the canal, it is unlikely that the "floaters" you see are a direct result of the clean effluent discharged by MMA.

My guess is swift currents + sediment + organic matter = your "floaters".

Thanks.  I also see the MMA refers to the "floaters" as marine snow.

Interesting all-inclusive terminology.

There is a BIG tog just sitting in a corner now.

Just been hanging out there for awhile now. My wife loves the stream so this will constantly be on in the background.

Highlight of the day:

Cunner with a big red pimple on the right side of belly.

Looks like a fishing line floating in front of the cam this morning with seaweed clinging on to it

Cunner with a cleft lower lip loves the camera

EDIT:

Camera got moved facing outside? Just saw a group of schoolie went by.and maybe a seabass hanging out with the cunners.

EDIT 2:

The new view is amazing. Plenty of big fish to be seen and lots of stripers cruise by from time to time.

Where ever they moved this camera too, I've counted over 50+ stripers swam by the camera. Awesome day to be out there fishing. I am stuck here watching the feed.

Latest info on the cam.

Tog party was yesterday from 1pm on. Stripers are regularly being seen. Occasionally seabass will stroll around. Today it was the first time I saw scup on camera. During the time viewing, I have not seen the camera being taken out. Seems like location moved once with in the week.

I'll try to get some video up later.

Oh, that cleft cunner loves the camera.
