Boat Ramps on Ninigret

I used to put mine in at Ocean House Marina.  They charge you a couple of bucks but it beats the current at the Breachway.

Been a few years since I owned though so things may have changed a bit.

There is three ramps that I know off

Already mentioned is Ocean House Marine.

The second is in the western part of the pond was called Lavin's Marina.

Both of these are paid ramps.

The third is on Ram Island Road at the community beach.

If you launch here in Green Pond you have to know the channels and have enough clearance to go under the Breachway Road Bridge out into Ninigret.

Thanks Ray.

Check out Shelter Cove too where the clam cake shack and kayak place is.

They have a ramp there and some paid slips. It's on your way to Charlestown Breachway.

There is also a small sand ramp opposite Shelter Cove with no docks.

Access by Charlestown Beach Parking Lot.

Watch the rocks coming from that end.  The best thing about Ocean House was once you get the boat in, you don't really need to zig zag around the stinkin rocks the way you do coming from Shelter Cove.

They also have gas at Ocean House so there's that - ya know, if'n ya got the dough.

I think the small sand ramp is only for kayaks canoes and maybe small boats with a kicker.  Not sure allowed to launch larger boats.   It’s been awhile since I’ve been there but I wouldn’t launch my 17 foot CC there.  Also strong current.

Quonny  gets a bad rap. It’s easy as hell if you know what to do. New ramp too.

If you have a bay boat.  Great choice.

If you consider a 28' Grady White with twins a "Bay Boat" then ok I guess.

Willows is where I thought you were putting in.  It's a bit shallow for your Grady.

Nope.  Like I said.  Ocean House.  Once you get beyond the dock area, it's all smooth as long as you keep to the center of the pond.  No rocks to worry about and just a short run up to the channels and out to the breachway.  I put in there for years.   :howdy:
