Broke another rod, looking for recommendations

Is there realistically a 10” rod that can handle 1/2 to 4oz comfortably around the $300 mark?
I know there are no do-it-all rods but is there anything close to this in the price range?

How do you break a rod tying leader?

Great question and if I knew I wouldn’t be looking for a new rod

Maybe the blank was defective or it had got damaged. Always hate it when a rod breaks. Don’t have any suggestion because I don’t plug often enough to get a rod for it. Hope you can find what you’re looking for:th: Tight lines

ODM also has a 9ft 1/2 to 3-1/2. Feels really nice and lightweight!

But, if you are breaking rods, maybe the new Seage with its 15 yr warranty is for you! I am trying to decide between these two rods as well.

Tsunami was definitely just from a lot of use,

not sure why the Lami snapped, was just tying an FG before I headed out, hoping not to make a habit of breaking rods lol

ODM, D.N.A.

1-5 oz; not so great on the 1/2 oz but not bad either.

Shines with 3 and 3 1/2 oz range.

Only thing is that this rod is 11'

PS

Yes, for those that know me and know what rods I like.

I do not recommend Rockaway rods this time

If your breaking rods try an ugly stick they are usually softer than most rods … maybe able to throw lighter weights easier and then figure out how many times your throwing 4 oz vs 3oz … the three oz may be more compatible than the 4 oz .. and if your not throwing 4oz to often it could work … at the very least it would make a good back up rod  for the truck … lol lol lol
