I am guessing the striper activity is pretty low in LIS .  I would have expected to hear more by now.  I'm going to be back in the NE at the end of month and look forward to getting going.

The fish are around, weather hasn’t been great. Maybe guys aren’t getting out do to that or just being tight lipped. No sense spoiling a good thing if your catching them.

John, the season has been off to a decent start for holdovers in the rivers as well as a few LIS beaches. What’s also notable this year is the size of the schoolies. Predominant size seems to be over 20” with a few slot sized fish mixed in.

Water is still on the cold side and this latest slug of cold weather will not help warm it up.

LIS was good until last week for me. Just been too busy to go.  Unusual was the size of the bass. Lots of mid to upper teen fish and a bunch of over slots to 25 lbs. Dropped some bigger fish too.

Its usually schoolies there for me had some of them too, but so far can’t complain.
