Anyone rocking both the tsunami saltx rod and reel? Just wanna hear a take on how they balance with eachother? Would the 4000 be too small for the 10’6 model? Let me know!

I have the 4000’s, 5000’s and 6000’s. In their price range I think they are the most under rated reels on the market. I also have the 10’6” rod. I would definitely go with the 5k or 6k. The 4000 is just too small. At least my opinion. Mike

Hi new to the forum

i have the salt x 4000 and the 10’ saltx rod but have yet to use it as i purchased them for use this season. I can take some pictures if you’d like to see where the balance point is. Just let me know

The silver is the 4000 and the black is 6000. The 4000 feels a bit too light for the rod and I’d suggest using the 6000. But IMO you could really go with either since you could use 30lb braid on either and same 50lb drag only difference would be the weight and line capacity
