i found a dead one that was partially eaten by a bird last week on the shore, but i have not seen any since nor any osprey.

No osprey in the east bay yet either. I generally see the two within days of each other.

Saw osprey yesterday and the day before. No peepers yet. No herring out front yet to my knowledge, but I'll be cruising.

yup they started to roll-in in force on March 25th where i was checking.

There are two runs that are maybe 10 miles apart and are almost clockwork two weeks apart. One just “recently” got a ladder, they netted them over previously, wonder if that matters.

Nuthin in gansett area as of late last week. Ill check again friday.

My guess is the first push of herring are just about making it to the head of the Taunton river. The middleboro run will see those fish early next week

its definitely been a warmer feb then we saw last year, i would not be surprised if they are a few days earlier then last year.

I saw two Osprey claiming their nest in the Galilee Salt Marsh, opposite Roger Wheeler Beach.
