What are they saying she’s gonna get for time?

Article I read yesterday said prosecutors are now asking for the standard 7 years.

Sentencing today. On one of the channels. Don't recall which one but they said they were going to cover it all.

That seems reasonable. What do you actually do if sentenced to seven?

I don't know.  Three and half, four, maybe?

I don't know why anyone would want to be a cop, and my son was one.

Hell, If I major f-up at my job it could cost millions, and my job, but not jail time.

Very bad move, but I don't know?

It’s ironic how the cop hating is going to make the issues they bitch about exponentially worse with a lower class of recruit.

I’d bet dollars to donuts that after sentencing she gets pinched by the feds for civil rights. With truth in sentencing that’s 90% time (if memory serves correct) and they are long sentences.

When I was charged at the state level with a hate crime, it was kind of scary with mandatory sentencing. Fortunately that charge was dropped.

Got in a fight at UMass. Hit a kid and he went down, his friend started coming up the stairs towards me with bad intentions, so I said stop or I’ll kick you down the stairs. He didn’t listen and wound up breaking his collarbone.
Cop on the bus they went on saw them, asked what happened and the collarbone kid said I called him a “****” when I kicked him. (I 100% did not).
Turned myself in next day and was charged with two counts of A&B one with a deadly weapon (shod foot) and civil rights violation for the alleged slur.
In pre-trial hearing the kid admitted I didn’t call him any names, so civil rights issue was dropped. (That is a 2.5 year mandatory sentence). It was determined I was wearing sneakers so the “shod foot” deadly weapon charge was dropped.
I plead no contest to a single charge of assault, which isn’t technically a recordable offense, got 3 months probation (my father was my PO) and paid a pretty hefty amount to the collarbone kid for medical bills and lost wages.

Seems stupid. 1 year and tase the family.

I bet if you killed someone due to a major f up you might face jail time.

I’d be ok with a year.
