Rod and reel fitting

11 foot genesis ..2-6oz

10 for DNA ..3/4-4oz

10.6 century slingshot ..2-5oz ......

What do yall recommend for vsx size on these rods .. I was thinking a 200 is perfect for all 3 but I've been told I need a 250 for the 11 n 10.6 .. how true is this?? Opions please .. hope there isn't such thing as to many posts

For what you have me my son has about the same rods as you, reels VS150 and 200 fits the bill no need for bigger reels.

or VR 150 & 175 will do it also.

The VR and VSX are two different series reel from Van Staal. The VR 200 and VSX200 have the same line capacity but I believe the VR weighs 16.8oz vs 21.2oz for the VSX. The VR is also a few hundred $ cheaper.

Cool cool thx .. also shouldn't be abused like vsx ?? Cranked underwater?

Only one way to find out. I would say the 200 but best to go to a store and pair the reels with the rods and see what you like. If you don’t absolutely love it in the store you won’t like using it out on the water. reel values drop the moment they walkout the shop door

Those staals don't drop much value it seems after alot of time
