I wonder what the actual differences are .

my main concerns are how well this reel is sealed . I have the saltiga 2020 8000h it’s a bulletproof tank

still waiting for the certate SW in the 5k or 6k size,,, then i will sell off my exist and certate to fund the SW certate in the 6k or 5k.

i have 3 5000H incoming. they were released like a month ago.
they are not the same as the LT 5000 reels which overlap.

different frames, heavier and thicker in areas to make it more SW worthy especisally the frame

the weight difference is insignificant, a few grams. they are the size of a saltiga 3500

if you want one, i can sell you one.

I seen it in stock on some of the Japanese sites and I’m tempted. You gotta let us know how it feels in hand. 
 

also really disappointed there wasn’t a 5/6k Saltiga released this year. I guess they’re completely doing away with that size for the Saltiga?

1. i was hoping that the 6k 5k SW was going to use the same style spool clicker as the 8k+ ,but is not .

2. it went backward on the side cover on the 6k5k SW ,, where it is more of the 2019 exist side cover (not the main gear side)

 

look like i wont upgrade to SW.

from the looks of it, yes

 

they seem to want to keep the saltiga for its intended purpose. large large game.

essentially its a mini saltiga.

biggest difference is the drag cap. it doesnt use the all metal one of the 8k+  models.

intending purposes for intended targets.

the 5k6k still use the older style spool type and drag clicker ,,, where the 8k+ use the similar spool style and drag clicker as Saltiga ,,

 

as my preference, i like the Saltiga drag clicker much more .

Does anyone know what gear ratio the 5k will be for the US market? Thinking of ordering one JDM instead of waiting but not sure if 5000-C or 5000-CXH. Wanted to match it with US just in case of servicing

Dont know about matching. If you want the service plan. Wait for the us version instead.
