I’ve been an electrician on Block Island since 1983. Proud to not ever been in any kind of union. When I first moved there no one installed electric appliances. Most everything was propane. We generated our own power. Now it’s a different world. People think because of the wind power they can have all electric homes. Almost all homes are now cooled and heated by heat pumps. No one ever even had air conditioning. Now it’s steam shower,60 amps, heat pump 100 amps, dual ovens 50 amps. The new thing now is freaking electric car chargers 50 amps.hot water 30 amps. Give me a break. It’s a liberal **** show no one has a clue. Meanwhile the power is produced  from an oil fired plant on the mainland. Also another issue I have is when an electric car is not taxed to use our roads and bridges. We pay gas tax and that is supposed to fix the roads and bridges but out politicians waste that money like water.
