I thought I'd share with you my day today. My son Kevin is Staff Sergeant for electrical services on the C-17 based out of Charleston Joint base. He received the Distinguished Flying Cross for fixing an electrical problem that enabled the cargo plane ( the one on the runway that was taking people from Afghanistan) to take off before being over run. You saw it in the news. Today I had the honor of watching his ceremony in a hanger off their flight line. General Mike Minihan (Air Mobility Commander) decorated my son.

Congratulations, to you and Kevin!  Thank you both for your service (know your not in the service but your job is important)!  Thats a very proud moment.

Congrats to you both!  You raised him well!

 

Can't imagine the pressure he was under to pull off the repair and get in the air with all that going on around him! He is one squared away dude!  We as a nation are so lucky to have Kevin and all our service sons and daughters standing ready on our behalf!!!
