I used to get up around 2:30-3am for years. Fish till 7am, go home shower, then go to work. I'll bet I did that for 25 years.

Still do. But now i dont have to work afterwards. :)

I set the alarm for 3 a.m. then turned around and went back to sleep. I don't know how some people do it.

Just gotta get one foot out of bed and you're good. My ideal midweek outing is up at 3am, at my spot by 335am, fish till 510am then head into the city for a 6am start.

If my 30 year old is waking up screaming in our bedroom in the middle of the night because he's teething and gassy, I've got some serious problems.

True but I will bet you a six pack that at some point when he is 30 you WILL wake up, worrying about something he is going through.   Bank on it!

Never got to fish. Was shakedown run for boat and myself and found a problem with boat, so trip was short.

Made a mistake of throwing gibbs pencil to bluefish. It doesn't look pretty anymore. Switched to a heavy SS popper to preserve what's left.
