First day fishing the salt this year. Caught a few. Would have got more if it wasn’t so weedy. I hate mung!

worms are the way...

worms are definitely good.

i find small pea size “balls” of FRESH clam wrapped on the tip of the hook work equally as well.

Hitting the beach this evening, reports to follow:)

i also hit an outer cape beach yesterday evening.  def schoolies around.  was skeptical it’d be good (yet) after the water temp drop from last week’s NE blow - but they’re in.  good topwater action.

It is, didn’t even realize. It’s a very fishy looking color, now all I gotta do is catch a fish on it

Wow!  If true. That's freakin awesome.

Is it followin the Great Whites or the seals?  That's the question.

Or is it just the fat man at the buffet and taking it all in

Taking a break from saltwater for a bit. I got a nasty sunburn on saturday.

I went kayaking in the Nashua river with my dad over the weekend. I saw the biggest bass I've ever seen, but he was not hungry.

We caught mostly small bluegill and perch, and then I saw it. A nice pickerel bullying some bluegill. I threw out a bobber and worm and caught a tiny bluegill. Next I took my worm off the hook and put the bluegill on. I casted in the direction of the pickerel and waited. Not even 2 minutes later, bobber down and drag screaming. I set the hook too soon because the bluegill came off the hook and swam away. Next I tied on a mepps spinner, and got nailed by what I assume was the same fish. It was a fun fight and my first pickerel.
