Got my first 7 fish of the year working bucktails in a south shore bay, outgoing tide. Been fishing for a few weeks now but felt so good to finally feel some thumps

Now you know why these worked so well the fist 3 weeks of May, I like the 5inch1/2 or 3/4oz with 12lb braid and 10lb florocarbon leader,  lure is ABB:)

I’ve had many nights when the only thing that worked was a Hurley head in a 5” plastic.  Dead drifted when spearing it’s spearing or fast when it’s finger mullet. Picky Boo fish too.
