Went out yesterday with the express purpose of trying to catch what I refer to as the "Bass Slam, a stripe, large, and a smallmouth bass all on the same day. Luck was on my side.

Fished a couple of hours on Tuesday afternoon, overcast, unseasonably cool, and slightly rainy, huge midge and caddis hatch happening. Hundreds of swallows working the river feeding, very fun to watch. Saw a few chromers feeding recklessly, but couldn't get them to eat. Switched over to see if the shad had made it upriver yet and was quickly rewarded. Put 13 in the net in two hours, and dropped at least 6 more, biggest being 22".

No surprise seeing these out in force this morning . Like to say I had a lot of action didn't see any risers and few Caddis actually on the water . Size 18 hooks would be about right to match,P5150023.JPG.e5a4fe6544ab5fa0cba38ed7f88741bb.JPGP5150025.JPG.48e9a3fe612e78f107b33ca85b7a0d2d.JPGP5150027.JPG.d614162593a57cb09d6b88e81ff07a8a.JPGP5150028.JPG.846a1268ceb6fcd7ee76740939e4b1c1.JPG

A couple from Sunday morning.  Managed 5 trout, 1 Sallie and 1 fall fish all on various caddis and hendrickson nymphs.  Also almost stepped on a tiny baby snapper.

nice snook from a weekend everglades trip.  Some from the beach, some from the mangroves, and a 21lb 38" snook sight fished on a flat... probably the biggest snook i will ever get.
