Inshore casting/jigging rod

Looking for a rod for New Jersey inshore waters to be fished off a boat.

Rod  will be paired with an avet sxj and will be used for fluke, sea bass, tog, and bass.  I have plenty of spinners which I like for the really light inshore jigging with 1-2 ounces. This would be more for deeper water 2-6 ounces, wrecks, and live lining. This is not a party boat set up.  Any ideas are appreciated

I have the 7MHF Mojo Inshore and it's great off the kayak.  I also use a 7MHF Avid (not inshore) as my topwater rod from the kayak.  That rod is amazing.  And a 7MXF Avid Inshore for schoolies and FW.  Schoolies feel like monsters on the medium.

for that reel and jigging i’d get the black hole.  have one, also trevalas, terromar, terez, st croix in similar “weights” and the black hole i like best for strictly “vertical” applications (togging especially).

I loved my Tsunami trophy series for moderate inshore application. I used the medium heavy and it sufficed pulling fluke and seabass. Usually, I try not to utilize an expensive outfit so i paired mine with a abu revo toro hs which handles really well.

i just picked up a st croix inshore for sea bassing and fluke.   I just read alot of bad reviews from guys with breakage on them and wonder if I made the wrong choice.   anyone have experience with the MOJO inshore heavy for party boats?

I have had a st croix triumph inshore for a year and a half and have used it a lot both on a boat and off beaches without any breakage - i've been very happy with it and it has great feel / casting - I personally wouldn't give up on it so quickly. I also have a MOJO heavy salt rod - different than the inshore but can't say enough good things about that rod either.

jigging world nexus? 701C-H specifically. Sounds perfect for what you are looking for and what I am thinking about for my 2 Avet SX setups used precisely for this application (inshore wreck/reef and striper jigging).

Appreciate the responses. Ended up with a trevala px for conventional set up  and a new mojo inshore . Haven’t had a chance to use em been to busy. Both rods feel great. Hoping to get em out this summer and fall.

I bought the mojo inshore and returned it after reading the reviews on it.  Wound up getting the trevala px and used it twice so far and love it..  i like the longer butt on the trevala over the inshore as it goes uder the arm. Great jigging rod too.  I paired it with my calcutta 400 and its a nice setup.   My only issue is im usibg firewire and it seems to be a little heavy for jigging...i am going to have to switch to somethibg else.  Not a powerpro guy.

I picked up the Nexus spinning version in both the M and H a while ago. They are both a pleasure to fish……….
