Anyone been in the ice lately. It must be getting sloppy on top. 50’s today and 60 tomorrow and then a high in the 20’s on Monday. This is some wacky weather this winter. I will skip fishing this weekend until things harden back up.

I'm out in northern Middlesex County right now. Probably 10 inches or more, only a little thin puddles and top inch or so is slush. Actually really nice conditions and crazy nice weather. Slow fishing though.

Tomorrow should be fine even with the warm temps.

Your mileage may vary. Be careful and check as you go.

Boys had a half day at school today. Took advantage of the crazy nice weather.

Pretty slow and quality wasn't there but a fun day and gorgeous out.

Beware when the ice stops showing puddles in warm weather that's when its no longer safe

Yes. Once the ice becomes honeycomb or candled even 6-8” of ice has no strength at all.

Did anyone fall in yesterday? I saw quite a few guys on some really questionable looking ice in my travels yesterday.

Wow the ice went fast. My backyard skating rink went from about a foot of ice frozen right to the bottom to just a few inches of candled ice. How did the ice hold up in central MA. I still have some shiners left that need to be used up somewhere.

There was someone on a big Cmass pond this morning when I was on my way to work. Rain was going sideways. Not a place I'd be doing that.

The water quality is so poor that this pond loses ice in a blink of an eye.

Scouted today.

Not looking good for tomorrow.

I don't feel like driving an hour.

Went from 11" to 4" and shore broken up overnight.

Shinners in garage starting to smell.
