Mayo gallon jug with loops riveted to it.  Then I wear it on a shoulder strap on clipped to my belt with karibiner.  I drill drain holes so they can flush with water and the slime drains.

Durable.   find the right jug, build it right. mine has been in service 8 years now

Any pictures?

I put one eel into the cheapest quart size ziplock bag I can find.   Trap some air in the bag and the eel will last for hours.  The best part is you hook them straight through the bag, tear the plastic away and never have to touch them.  The cheaper bags tear away easier and don't damage the hook placement in the eel..  I will put three or four of these eel bags down my waders or in the outer pocket of a plug bag and don't have to worry about the slime or the old eel stench.  Just make sure you properly dispose of the used bags, as we already have way to much plastic floating around in the ocean.

This!! :th:

The cooler method with ice packs are a big thing for kayakers going on many moons.

Ice packs slow the eels down into stasis and they're much easier to hook n' toss in the drink.

I played that game and had a few too many get loose while rigging.  Amazing how fast those bastards find the scupper and sux when you watch the last one slip down the hole.  That's the exact reason I started baggimg them.

I chose to ditch the eels and throw homemade big plastic pours for large....no ice packs or bags needed.

Have fun with the eels gentlemen.

I saw a video on YouTube Commanch surfcasting where he uses a paintball pod with a clasp taped to it so he could hang from surfbelt......

Definitely would be for rigged eels, but not live

I'd put a rubber type of cap on those sections of extending bolts

through the nut to keep the eels from getting nicked up.

Couldn't cost more than a buck.

Nice bait container thingy.

That would've come in handy when I was rock hoping

Deer Island when I used to be a billy goat angler.

Oh yeah, I'm salivating just thinking about the smell and the feeling of 4 eels swimming around in my waders when the bag breaks!

I laughed WAY too hard at that. Then the wife says to me, you guys should be used to an eel in your waders. I'm trying to type this blinded by tears because I'm laughing so hard.
