My husbands rac a rod was stolen this weekend from RI. It was only the back piece and it was the 4 rod size. If anyone happens to see it, please, let me know. We did contact, Hal.

Betsy you're gonna need to build up at least 12-15 posts before you

can send and receive PM's.

I'd due this quick by posting a bunch of songs in the Tavern What are

you listening to now thread to get it over with quick.

.....also what Cheech said.

Good luck B!

Sorry to hear that Betsy. I sure love mine. I don't think Hal is making them any more unfortunately. I hope he's able to help. It would be great of someone else would take over making them. They're a great product and fill an important need.

Best of luck.

I got a rac-a-rod from a friend of mine.  Didn't have any brackets or anything to attach to roof rack.  Does anyone know how to attach these that make them hard to steal?  I know if someone is determined they are gonna get it off.  Just hoping to make it secure enough that the casual scumbag cant just quickly grab it.

I am busy at the moment but will post later when I have a min to try & explain what I used. What kind of crossbars (assuming u have & will be using crossbars) will you be attaching it to?

Hi Jay,

Thanks so much for responding.  I have cross bars.  See picture below.

There is a hole in the rac-a-rod for a bolt to attach.  Wondering if there is a bracket that attaches to roof rack.  Thanks again.

Rob
