2015 ram 5.7 4x4

Bangs into reverse, skips over drive and stuck in 4th gear, solenoid??

can I do this in my driveway?

I wound try to find a diagram of the internals and see if there’s anything obvious it could be. Have you checked the Bernie fluid?

Have you been changing the fluids?

Modern transmissions depend heavily on good fluid.

Good luck, because parts are scarce right now.

What do you mean bangs into reverse?

From where, park, drive?

That's not good.

I got a recall card for some tranny interlock thing that I didn't bring it in for yet.

With any luck you will not have to reach out to the fine folks in Jasper Indiana for help.

Went to back out driveway, bam! She went backwards ok

go to put in drive, no drive

Skips right over the D, not unlike an ex wife

we have forward momentum, dash displays the 4 and check engine light on. Buddy just came by with gadget says it’s a solenoid code, looks like $300-400 oem and you know trans guy is gonna want 2 grand

fluids fine, she’s had 1 or 2 regular  trans service lifetime, never any problems. Just flipped 80k miles

1. You dont need reverse. Just park in the back of lots, where you can pull through.

2. As for 4th gear-get a tow vehicle to get you up around 35mph, drop the tow line and off you go.

Park at the top of a hill, neutral down and jam her in!
