bill cunnane
I did the early morning and sundown Thanksgiving surf fishing shifts several times. Got to a point where I didn't get invited to the family gatherings. Still got a plate of leftovers. There were some stink eyed looks when I would come in and flop a big dead fish in the sink before the dishes were done. They learned there is no vaccine or cure for bass fever. cec127 and Irishfire18

I will leave it up to @nam1969 to determine whether donkey fish will count or not. Don't forget, this is just fishing and I am grateful to be able to do this as much as I can, when I can and when the wife lets me. Happy thanksgiving to all and your families. Worked some cuts and had 2 or 3 in a row. Birds came somewhat close and didn't get a thing. Was better off just working the lip with a shad. Goldy
So much for the weathermen, the Wind was supposed to die down by 1pm and I was looking forward to cheating again.. Boat left at 2pm and immediately ran into stripers in the bay.. 3 man crew, 25 stripers caught, 1 keeper.. we didn't venture far because the wind forecast was wrong and was whipping nw 15+ in a cc, i was freezing.. Boat fish don't count, I get it, but with a bump wheel ,i was happy to get onto a fish adams54, Irishfire18, joefishnj21 and 1 other

Popular Post DeeMonee
Split sessions today: AM - NoMoCo, sunrise, steady NW, beginning of incoming, great looking surf, stained water but plenty of suds. Saw a guy pull in 2 schoolies. Lost 1 on a metal lip. Nada PM - Afrernoon dusk bite MoCo, middle of outgoing to the flip. Worked the rocks, water cleaner than the AM, peanuts in close but picky bass coming in and out. Fellow next to me pulled in 3 in 10 min with a 30” which he harvested, when I first arrived. Throwing everything until dusk when they finally started hitting. Started off with a stinky shad on the teaser and ended with 3 bass which included a Double header on a chicken scratch SP and teaser. Good group on the rocks. My double got wedged and one of the fellas leadered me up. Surprised the fish weren’t that plump…a bit on the skinny side Sam3631, Dhirsch, Slowwwride and 10 others
Slowwwride
Nuttin good to report this week… hit a few bay spots between work obligations… Nuttin for me. Tomorrow would be cool if a savage Turkey Day blitz could get going. Bass… blues… both I’ll take it. Time will tell. See you on the beach. adams54 1 Smoke 'em if you got 'em, we're going down

Popular Post hurricane1091
Went back and looked at the logs and I haven't skunked since 9/11, so for that I'm thankful. I'm thankful this has been one of the best years of fishing I've had. I don't set the world on fire but I've had a good year. I caught weakfish for the first time in forever. I caught my first keeper togs. I caught stripers for the first time on topwater and bucktails. I caught my first speckled trout (SC), personal best for redfish (SC), striper, tog, weakfish, and fluke this year. For the first time I've finally felt like I've put things together and can consistently get it done. My catches pale in comparison to many on here and none of my personal bests are record beaters, but I've been bitching on here for years and to finally throw some results on the board feels good.
