Would love some real world feedback on the Van Staal VR Series VR75.

Hahaha, as if!

seriously though, I agree with the others, I don’t think it’s out yet. I’m waiting for a VR51 myself and have been told I could get the 75 spool to fit it since they aren’t making a lefty in that size.

Not available yet explains the lack of info. They must still be on a dock in California.

You may have very well hit the proverbial nail on the head!!

from VS social media:

"The VR75's are arriving at a store near you! Machined, sealed, sub 9 ounces with a high capacity spool and a blistering 39" per turn! From a 7' ML inshore rod to a Light 9 surf rod this little reel will get it done!"

Mine came in yesterday.  Spoiled it up today and gonna give it a shot in the AM.

Please get back to us with a review.......I'm eyeing this one up as opposed to the VR50 as i am going to need something on my 9'6" Weapon that i'm going to have built this year...... :th:

What # test, diameter, and how much did it take? I'm thinking 30-40# SSV2

I used a spool of 300 30#, took quite a bit less than the full spool, don’t have a line counter to know for sure though.
