Talk to me. Who has the best. Willing to drive up to an hour if I have to.

Dorchester, MA. They have the best.

Pho Le and Pho Hoa is right next to each other. I had them both, some things are better than other.

Saturday early evening a possibility or will it be jammed?

Pho 501 East Hartford, CT.

Too far but I’ll keep that in mind when I go back to CT to see family.

Hard to say, they do get pretty busy but their turn around is pretty quick. Parking is right behind them (pull up a map).

When you go ask if they have any pickled hot peppers, on the side.

That’s not some slang Vietnamese thing where I’m actually asking the chef to bang me in the ear, is it? :squid:

It's close, but my choice here in Lowell MA is Pho Dalat. Others locally put Pho 88 on top. A worthy pho no doubt.

Very large SE Asian community here.

If you're ever in the area I'd vote Pho 88 (easy) for best overall restaurant fare, but still think Pho Dalat has a bit better pho.

88 and Dalat are the two heavyweights here in Lowell, but they're actually both just across the border at Drum Hill, on Chelmsford/Westford line. Dalat has two other locations in Lowell itself (including a 1980s old school Pizza Hut), but the Dalat to visit is at Drum Hill, just down the street from 88.

Tons of pho places in Boston. I liked pho basil when I lived there. There used to be a line at that wrapped around the corner and to get in there. I like ramen better myself and there is no shortage of top tier ramen places in Boston as well.
