Richizzzle
Hi guys, I'm from NY and was visiting my inlaws down here in Florida. I wanted to do a little fishing, but not wanting to spend any money I was just using a small handlining setup with a some bank sinkers and a small circle hook with some bait. I went to a local fishing pier and was having a blast catching small snapper and houndfish when a cop came up to me and told me handlining wasn't allowed. I didnt see any rules prohibiting it near the dock entrance nor can I find the FWC regulation on it and was wondering if one of you guys could point me in the direction of the laws prohibiting it. I went and bought a 15 dollar ice fishing pole/reel and have been using that instead Thanks for your help
Brdhntr47
Never heard that one before. I occasionally see people on the beach hand lining. Call FWC.

LB
You should of had your line wrapped a Bud Light can. Richizzzle
TheSuperApe
Considering hand line spools are sold all over FL i think there was a misunderstanding somewhere (*member formerly known as 'Badtothebugs')
