Gentlemen,

Looking for a new 10' ~ 10'6" stick, but don't love any of the popular options from our well-knowns.

Would love a rod/company suggestion for something mid/high price point, throwing 3-6oz, can work with a variety of actions.

1 pieces/70-30 splits out of the question.
Building rods also unviable.

Foreign suggestions, small builders who pre-make rods, and companies less known to the East Coast all welcome.

Much appreciated in advance....

(I already own several Tica Dolphins)

I have a 10’ foot heavy (1-5 oz) and 10’6 MH (3/4-4 oz) Jigging World Shadow Surf. I have found them to be very capable rods….not quite the 3-6 oz range you are looking for, but a high quality product for the price. I believe they are in the $200-220 range if I remember correctly. 70/30 split.

Cosmotech - don’t know jack about them, but I was Buying a Lami from a guy and asked about three rods collecting dust in the corner. He gave them for a nickle. I got a 8’, 9’ and 10’. Great rods

I think there more west coast rods, cast great.

The predator was my first rod, still have it, little whippy but it’ll get your there.

Which model? I'll look into it thanks.

2-8 is an extremely interesting range.

It's the tfo gis scs 1065-2 if I recall correctly

I think 8 is a bit overrated for what it really is, it would probably do it but not happily

It really performs best with 4 ounces and you can still really throw as hard as you could want with it

Feels a lot like some of the 2-6s I've handles

If you're anywhere near CT or RI I'm happy to let you test it out for yourself

I've been considering getting rid of mine and going up to an 11 and maybe something slightly more moderate

Hrmm.

Just checked specs and it isn't quite what I'm looking for.

Appreciate the offer however.

My bad. I misread your original post that said 70/30 out of the question

Odm makes some really nice 50/50s

Buy you've probably already checked that out

Good luck with your search for the perfect rod

Jigging world's are definitely in the picture.

How resilient would you say the grips are? Last longer than cork tape?
