They are generally the most important.

Lets take a pause in praising all soldiers like they are saints to make a real assessment of our military.  We owe it to ourselves, AND we owe it to the grunt soldiers that took the job.

This guy Milley is a joke.

Question for the army guys.  We just lost ANOTHER war.  When was the last time we won a war?

Why couldnt the army secure a perimeter around one single runway?  Against people from the 6th century.

Thats more of a tactics question.

One runway???

Why couldn't we secure a perimeter around and entire city, take our sweet ass time evacuating everyone from the county we felt like (in first class if we wanted to), all of our equipment, all of our materials, and all of our people, with the clear threat that if anyone even LOOKED in our direction, let alone shot in our direction, the air power from above would heap devastation that could only be described as "disproportionate?"

I can see leaving, but why did we flee?

The military can only operate with a chain of command.

Your question is incorrectly phrased, it should be where was the command to secure the perimeter?

True enough, but reefer madness does account, the rotted brains are accelerating with each states decriminalization.

Kipling referred to the phenomenon as 'lotus eaters', the free availability of intoxicant drugs in British occupied India rotted their army from within.
