Especially if you have a bad shoulder, or a cranky back… or both! :banghd:

Balanced outfits are a sure sign of a sharpie.

Balance is vital to fishing success!

Is that perfectly balanced with braid or mono? Inquiring minds need to know.

I am stripping off the line right now, I will re-spool and let you know!

As far as surf rods go, does balance really matter?  Don’t we wedge the rod handle  between our legs anyway and use use our crotch as a fulcrum to work the rod to impart action on the lure?  In that case, does being tip heavy really matter when using a lighter reel on a surf rod?

I'm old, I use a rod holder belt when useing the big rods.10.5',11' and 12'. saves what's left of the galhunies.

Put the butt of the rod between your legs when you retrieve your lure, negates the need for perfect balance and the added stimulation to your junk may negate the need to the little blue pill later. Its a win, win!

Take one too many sudden hits will make it hard to keep that rod tip up. At least change your voice a little.
