Assuming that all plugs are catching fish (not which plugs are most successful for me) I’ll take a small popper, the smack-it jr specifically. I absolutely love the hits on that popper. A close second are twitch baits - just started fishing these recently and they are really fun to catch on.

Ice Cream GT skinny nose. Makes enough of a topwater commotion just reeling it straight in. Casts a mile too.

Also no belly hooks to deal with when you're unhooking big bluefish.

Up until my recent trip to the Vineyard when this guy caught my eye, I would have said a Cordell pencil red head. The fish absolutely love this Grey Lady Hellfire 180. Thing casts a mile and the fish like it more than I do.

:)do you switch out the treble hooks??:)

I run semi canal rigged - 3/0 6X VMC with double splits on the belly and a 6/0 inline aft.

This set up on the big doc can get frustrating for me with a noticeable increased swing and miss ratio.
