My refrigerator's needs have apparently exceeded my ability to repair it :dismay:  If I'm gonna pay somebody to check it out I'd rather get someone with a personal reference from one of yous :)

Brand model problem?

Whirlpool - WRF989SDAF - very slow leak for a couple years, I (allegedly) added R-134a every six months or so when the ice in the door would melt...and we sorta had an understanding. Now instead of ice melting it periodically starts to make weird compressor noises when it gets low...and the freezer decided it wanted to be warmer than the fridge this morning :dismay:

Just buy a new one !

If I can save a couple grand getting it fixed, I'd prefer that :)

Charge us all 5 cents to use this awesome website, and buy a nice new one with a built in TV and camera.

  I'd spent all those nickels on a fancy record player and still want to get this fridge fixed...I'm weird like that :bucktooth:

It is not worth fixing. If you let the gas out and it achieved atmospheric balance the there is water in there. Where was the leak? Just give the county. Don’t spot burn.
