Lost beeping smoke detector...

Buddy had an unfinished basement for years.   Couple odd years back they finished it.  A week ago a fire extinguisher started beeping.   It's hidden behind drywall and insulation now.  Had a contractor up there today to find it.  Stethoscope sort of device, etc.  11 holes in the ceiling and no dice.  We're hitting a fifth and about to go at it.

I have never heard of Beeping Fire Extinguishers, is this a Northern thing?

Anyway,

Hitting a fifth is a good way to deal with it.

A good home inspector should have a FLIR infrared scope. Should be a able to spot it effortlessly. Stethoscopes and hammers. Nice job Moe. Maybe you should call Larry off the ladder.
