Winter squash: identification & recipe?

Hey folks,

need some help identifying these.

I’m assuming they’re a winter squash, but don’t know what. There are several, some are large & sone are small, like 1/4 the size of lager ones. They were given from a local home  garden in SoCal.

How would you prepare these?

 Thanks in advance!

JD

patty pan can be cooked like any summer squash. the skin is edible.  you can stir fry them or there are great recipe's for stuffing them with a mixture of sausage and breadcrumbs.

Just croissants cut any squash into 3/4 inch steaks season them and cook them any way you like …baked ,fried or grilled but the grill has to be spotless and clean cast iron grates make grilling that much easier
