Why can’t the space jet setters dump a load of non biodegradable plastic, spent uranium, etc. into the galaxy every trip?  Maybe the aliens can figure out a better use for it since we obviously can’t.  Seems like a  missed opportunity to me.

I’ve been saying this for a long time. Space garbage makes sense, big landfill on the moon and we can call it new Staten Island, send loads of bennies there to colonize I really don’t see any downside :th:

It's a novel idea, but what, and this is only speculation, but what if the addition of our spent fuel and other assorted waste products have an affect on the sun and it's mechanics?

What if it were to shift the sun's light spectrum to a more ultraviolet level?

What if it causes more sun spots and solar storms which adversely affect our communication satellites?

What if it forces the sun to go supernova? (ok, this one is REALLY absurd)

Simply put, we really don't know what the effects will be.
