Thinning closet,

Selling as a set, not splitting.

JDM 2015 Daiwa Catalina BJ reels. Japanese market only reels.

never released in US.  I bought them back in 2018.
one is a righty high gear ratio , stock double paddle replaced with factory JDM Daiwa SLP power handle.
one is lefty lower gear ratio with double paddle.

built like tanks.  essentially the same design as a JDM Saltiga BJ100 reel.

in great condition with light normal usage marks
no corrosion, no bad bearings, everything works, Just use it straight out of the box.
filled with 20lb Sufix coastal blue line.

non-disengaging levelwind for superb casting, jigging, inshore, slow pitch jigging.

has centrifugal brakes inside

solid 15lb drags, smooth cranking.

one screw, easy sideplate removal

MADE IN JAPAN.

IMHO much better then a low profile reel of same size.
inshores, lexas, F all that made in thailand, vietnam crap.

and looks a hell of alot better in machined aluminum.

When released, they cost me about $360 each. +$70 for the power handle.
I junked the stock handle as it sucked.

boxes and all.

$425 shipped insured.

i used the BJ100H mainly on a boat for porgies, fluke, seabass, stripers, blues, with 1-3oz jigs

the BJ100PL was for my wife.  or when i felt like wanting to casting bucktails, rubbers, or swim jigs. reeling nice and slwo.

If you do consider splitting I would be interested in the LH model. My question is- is the handle that you thought sucked the handle currently on that LH model? Why did you feel it sucked?

Thats the stock handle. Im a righty so for me. Its weird to LH crank.  Theres nothing wrong with it. Throw length. Bearings.  Its all fine. @Crabcakes

I might split because another user message me about the RH model.

let me ask here and see if we can work it out. @Trident 13

I’ll offer $160 shipped for the lefty.

$170? . Covers the shipping and fees a little bit.  I can get it sent out today if early enough.

Reel will be immediately usable straight out of box.

I’m gonna hold at $160.  I mainly use spinning reels.  But I’m thinking of adding this as one of my kayak setups.  You don’t have to take my offer now.  You can hold another week, if one wants it, PM me.  Thanks!

Does the righty have a spool clicker?

Nope.  All the goodies you want in heavy duty round reel but that.

The drag star clicks... Lol
