Verizon.net email issues

Since last Sunday I can't access my verizon email account on my device or through outlook, only on Aol, which is where their emails are now serviced.  Pop.verizon.net server isn't responding.

All of the configurations are correct, just stopped working.  I removed the account and attempted a reinstall, no joy.

Most email software and applications have an account settings menu where you'll need to update the IMAP or POP3 settings. When entering your account info, make sure you use your full email address, including @verizon.net, and that the SSL encryption is enabled for incoming and outgoing mail.

 Protocol Server SettingsPort Settings

POP 3 Incoming mail server (POP3): pop.verizon.net
Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.verizon.net POP3-995-SSL
 SMTP-465-SSL

IMAP Incoming mail server (IMAP): imap.aol.com
Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.verizon.net IMAP-993-SSL
 SMTP-465-SSL

I appreciate you looking that up for me.  I found pretty much the same info, just doesn't work on my Samsung phone or in Outlook.  The email works fine when I use AOL.

Verizon has always sucked.

Haven’t had to set up email in a while but I don’t think POP is capable of multiple devices.

it was working just fine on multiple devices until last Sunday.  Last email received at 12:13 pm.  Just stopped working in outlook and my phone.

Several years ago, after AOL took over handling Verizon emails, I got rid of that account. Started getting a lot of garbage emails and was done with it

You are not using this for important stuff are you?

Consider finding a local ISP and paying them for email accounts.

It works better in the long run.
