Most of my better fish are at night, on chunk,  live seems to only work ok in very shallow water at night.

Totally agree, at night.  I've moved away from mackerel, as I've, well, run out.  But they are hitting clams pretty well now.

Any size to the fish Scott? I’ll be down in OOB for two weeks starting sun. Is it still weedy out front?

My season has been different.  I have not been able to get out a lot ( although I fished 5 days last week).  Had three solid evenings of sight fishing in the fog north of Portland and two solid mornings south of Portland.  No big numbers or huge fish, but fun fishing.  New flies, new tactics, new tackle.

They are all schoolies for me, all in the 18 - 24" range, just like in the videos.  BUT...the weeds have been much better...I haven't spent 20 minutes cleaning off my line for a few weeks now.  Also, the tide this weekend is super low in the AM (5AM/5PM, 6AM/6PM), so evening fishing won't be as nice as I'd like it, but I will gladly take it.
