Each day  was a different scenario. Early am 0400 was top water, as it brightened and soft bait worked to about 7;30. It was a toss up whether the surf or harbor was best. In the estuary water if you could find fast draining cuts, the stripers were feeding on sand eels and the bite was good. On 2 of the overcast days  mid morning a black 3/8's ounce bucktail with a strip of mackerel did great in fast out going current near structure. Most all guys I know had a decent week with 4 fish in the 28-31" range. Everything else were fat 18" to 23" fish. Best techniques were slow slow retrieves. Fishing is sporadic, but decent if you fished certain light conditions and tides. Plastics had no color or style difference to be mentioned.:rav:

Unfortunately my plans got changed so I won't be fishing your neighborhood this weekend. Appears as though I am missing some good fishing! When I do make it up there I will bring an extra cigar with me.  :)
