Guides are licensed by the state so your location is very important.

If you want to make the trip to Montauk, Bill Wetzel is excellent.  I have been fishing with Bill for quite some time.  You can learn much from him, Montauk is a great place to visit, and the fishing could be great.  The best part about it is that Bill loves fishing and is genuinely excited to be out in the surf.

Good luck in your pursuits.

Matt

Some states license them, some states not so much.

Hadley-

As MattyS.I. says- Bill Wetzel is the guy.  Look him up online and go set up a session. You’ll learn everything you want plus a hell of a lot more.
