Parking fee at that lot was not always in place but has been there for a while and went up during covid. AFA there being some kind of protection for free or cheap parking, towns can do whatever they want. The higher the fees, the lower the crowd, the better for them as they will have to use less resources to patrol it and clean up.


I support those that want to fish and that our access is considered, but when you look at it from the other side, we are not bringing in any substantial cash into these smallish seaside communities or value., They also don’t want to grow to be a Hampton or Old orchard tourist like circus.  


Real estate is hot hot and we will see more and more claw marks for space including public and municipal common spaces.
