VA Beach surf is not really known as a hot spot. But the piers, bridges, and parks in Hampton Roads can be real good. That is the end of the summer grind, but there are still summer species around.

Big drum bite at the bridges through October so they are around and will pass by the oceanfront if the conditions are right. Spot and sea mullet will be around. I’m not a big puppy drum/trout guy, but they will be around too in the rivers some of the bay spots. Spanish and bluefish will be in the surf if the water is right.
