According to Today s Salem News (7/3) , after money spent on the park's parking and landscaoe improvements,

Gentlemen.......The pier is next on the agenda...

Expect construction to begin by the end of the year or beginning of next year......

Do you believe it?

Heard this story before..........there's no mackerel anyway.......

I'll bet you that one of the parking "improvements" consist of a 75%

increase in the amount you'll have to put in the meter to park there......

Any new info on this??

Was there yesterday and it looks like a good spot for people while the kids toss money at games.

Plus saw alot of bummed out older folk that the Chinese Restaurant was closed.

Eta.  Get that pier built, put up a small tackle/bait shack.

That spot would be pretty fun.

Especially to get kids fishing.  Fishing kept me out of alot of trouble as a youth.

Is that the little shack building?  I was staring at it and thinking. "Man this would make a great bait shop..."
