So you work with “ most of them”. There are about 100 million “minorities” in this country, and you work with them all so you know what all their circumstances are as far as their id circumstances are. Not just the few that you work with? And you work with all engineers and technicians who have no issues. From that you extrapolate that those minorities working at menial minimum wage jobs that require that they work multiple jobs to try to get out of poverty shouldn’t have any issues as well. like I said BS.

Where does your expertise in the matter come from?

Family business was in Newark NJ

I was involved off and on, then on, from late grammer school sometime in the 80s

In my early days, the overwhelming majority of our employees were blacks

By the time I left the business in 2003 or so, they were, with the exception of one guy, hispanic of different persuasions

Either way, all of these guys were from 'the hood' - the true hood.

These guys started at minimum wage, if they could show up regularly on time and had the right attitude, we had no problem bumping them up and paying them significantly more.  If.

I can only remember....after turning over probably hundreds of guys through the years, maybe one or two that didn't have IDs

Its a BS argument.  Made by racists, for the most part, that don't think a minority or the minimum wage class has the capability, intellectually or otherwise, to get an ID

An ACLU fact sheet from May 2017 claims that 21 million Americans do not have a government-issued photo ID, citing a 2006 survey from the Brennan Center for Justice. About 11 percent of the 987 voting-age American citizens surveyed said that they did not have a current, unexpired government-issued photo ID. Eleven percent of the adult citizen population in the 2000 Census amounts to 21 million Americans.

The Brennan Center survey also found that black Americans were less likely to have a current government photo ID – 25 percent lacked one, compared to 8 percent of white Americans, with an 8 percent margin of error. It also indicated that 16 percent of Hispanics lacked one, but the results were not statistically significant due to a low sample size.

1) This is not 2000 or 2006. It’s 2021

2) you notice they keep referencing not having a “current” or “unexpired“ license? Neither of those necessarily means those people never had an id, or can’t manage to get a new one.
What’s that old saying? Figures don’t lie, but liars figure?

“IMO”. Apparently there are lots of reasons. Just because you are in your SOL bubble that believes that people should lose their right to vote because you believe that our elections are not safe enough because of the Big Lie. Well, that’s enough for you. Yeah, they’re too whatever, so they shouldn’t be voting anyway. Fortunately, except for you and your fellow SOL deniers no one knows or cares what you or I think.

Southern Poverty Law Center that there are lots of people who were born in this country, are us citizens and don’t have ids. TSPLC has pointed out that there are in fact hurdles for many of these people getting an ID. You have to be the first person that has accused TSPLC being racist.

Are you even familiar with Morris Dees and the shakedown industry the SPLC has become?

Why bother, it’s clear that you really don’t want to know. You just want to rant. No, I’m a typical independent who doesn’t believe the big lie. You’re the R who’s full of hot air bringing nothing to the conversation.

You DO know that Morris Dees is gone from the SPLC in 2019 don’t you? His issue was being an A hole, not that he wasn’t very effective as an attorney. Got anything else unrelated to throw in.

Until you walk back your snark and come up front with the entire history of the SPLC and how they have become nothing but a shake-down industry....no.

One snark deserves another. You mean the SPLC taking down the KKK.

They did indeed.  That was back in their glory days when they actually did some GREAT work.

Nowadays, amongst other issues, they have partnered with the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute (DEOMI) and classified white, returning veterans as terrorists.   They can eat a bag of dicks.

You mean the DOD DEOMI. So partnering with the Pentagon is a shake down business now? And how did the DOD classify veterans as terrorists?

You are describing  a specific group of 50 people, not millions. I’m not making an assumption. It’s pretty well documented by the Southern Poverty Law Center that there are lots of people who were born in this country, are us citizens and don’t have ids. TSPLC has pointed out that there are in fact hurdles for many of these people getting an ID. You have to be the first person that has accused TSPLC being racist.

Yes, you are making an assumption and you're appeal to the SPLC is ridiculous. They're the most Anti-America PAC there is. Did you know they have about a half a billion dollars in assets and that they named American Families and PragerU "White Supremacist" organizations?

You should hang around with nicer people, SPLC isn't what you wish they were.
