I want to get in on a good cicada bite. When will they show? What eats these things?

"Lucky" is a fictional character on the interwebs. Nothing "Lucky" says or does can be or should be construed as a real thought by an actual person. Objects in your rear view mirror may appear to be closer than they actually are.

If you try to change it, you will ruin it. Try to hold it, and you will lose it.

You ever see them cicada killers, they are scary.

I wonder what they kill in the off years?

I believe they are somewhat cyclical too.

However, there are cicadas every year, even when the "great broods" aren't hatching.

See: dog day cicadas.

I guess you know more than the FDA?

This week, FDA officials posted a warning they likely hadn’t anticipated needing to issue: People with seafood allergies should steer clear of cicadas, as the insects are related to shrimp and lobster. Shellfish are one of the eight major allergens that account for 90% of all food allergies and serious allergic reactions, according to the FDA.

They are making a lot of noise in Princeton right now.  But there aren't as many as there were in the last brood -not yet anyway.
