Pulling my hair out stuck in a house with 7 girls while rain bows sideways at 35 knots.  Running out of **** to fix

So I had a ceiling fan that started running slow last summer.  Scrapped another and cut the capacitor out of it...hey only took me 10 months but good day to get to it.

Open up the slow fan and same capacitor number with same micro farad ratings....but 4 not 5 wires

Can I replace the 4 wire w a 5 wire??

Combine grey on left?  Isolate/cap one?  Or a no-go

I am above my pay grade here...20210529_101224.jpg.2cae9befd067e72eaddc8c2a3d4ba969.jpg

oops didn't see that , amazon you the rite one

same voltage, microfads are a little different, but if I have high speed, I don't care about the slower speeds...5 is fast and thats all I care about.  No??

Looks to me like you could just twist the two grays together and treat that as a single wire.

will it run with this one (again, fast is primary concern as its in my garage (which is my office in the summer) or will I burn it up?

That is the max rating.

Put a wire nut on one of the gray wires and go for it.
