Marcel_Karssies
Windy and wet start of the day, not warm at all. Tried the south again as I hoped the recent rains would coax some fish into the small stream I intended to visit. It was not to be, only yielded two small chub and a tiny perch. The abundant mayflies where intercepted by gulls - fish ... awol. A loud splash almost made me think a big chub had taken a mayfly but it turned out to be a common grebe who scared the little fish that where present away. Tried to find better spots upstream but those locations where extremely shallow and clear, did not spot anything. Next stop the larger stream back home. Walked for miles and did not see a living thing, completely dead. I found it odd as mayflies and other insects where on the water, did not spot a rising fish all day. The last hope spots yielded a tiny dace and roach. Where have the big fish gone ... At the end of the month I am up for a Johnson & Johnson vaccine meaning two weeks after the jab I should be legal to cross the border again. The good news is that the beergarden is apparently open and inside dining might be allowed soon. oax, thaistick, KidDkivahh and 3 others

Marcel_Karssies
@Cabo ... I expect that trip to Coevorden will be possible in fall. I think the US embassy would be the source for the latest accurate info https://nl.usembassy.gov/covid-19-information-3/ Would love to visit Florida again in fall but at this moment in time it seems far fetched.
