Unique prototype - No one ever said that Walter Krystock lacked imagination or ingenuity when making his Connecticut Yankee plugs.
This one is shaped like a bowling pin and has a Jitterbug style metal lip.

Correct me if I’m wrong Bob but according to SJ article on 2012 these were very early correct?

I've read the article. From what I understand and unless I'm mistaken, Walter may have used the wood from children's bowling pins to make his first plugs, before he located an alternate source for wood. I don't believe that he actually made bowling pin shaped fishing lures as this is the only one I have ever seen like this, but I may be wrong. This lure that I have was with a handful of prototypes that I acquired and I think it is just something that he experimented with. But it is obviously one of the children's bowling pins mentioned in the article.
