oc1
I use a 13 ft wind-on floro leader. Spectra and leader both 20# but if the jig snags it will almost always break just in front of the jig where the floro bumped something. If it breaks the spectra above the FG knot in the field I retie with a uni-to-uni because it is quicker. The uni-to-uni clicking and hanging up as it goes through the guides is an aggravation for the rest of the day . I think it is the floro tag end that does most of the clicking and hanging but I'm afraid to cut it too short. The uni-to-uni is replaced with an FG before launching next time. Oldroe
The one mistake with the FG Knot is pushing the knot to gather. I leave it long and let that finger knot work. It's not as hard to tighten down. And the failure is much less. TheSuperApe
