NRA tried the old Trump bankruptcy dodge.  Fail.  Looks like NY AG is on track to dissolve them such that they shall be no more...

The NRA's headquarters is in Fairfax, Virginia, but it's been incorporated in the state of New York since shortly after the Civil War.

In January, the NRA filed for bankruptcy and as part of its petition sought to be reincorporated in Texas, a move that came five months after James' office filed a suit seeking to dissolve the organization.

The NRA may be dissolved, but a functional equivalent will arise promptly.  The real difference is that Wayne LaPierre won't be running it, nor will the people he picked to look the other way.

NRA could move everything under 2nd amendment foundation including members and reduce NRA to just letterhead until this political attack fades away.

A number of 2A enthusiasts in this Forum, and elsewhere, have been quite critical of LaPierre's use of NRA money. Does he have a good defense?

I find most people still back the NRA despite what they did with the money.

Same (so far) as people backing Trump despite his $125M auto-donation trick.

Max is more concerned with a private citizens donation to the NRA than the trillions in tax dollars stolen from future generations without their permission.
